A Walk Through Nature - Photography with a Little Story
A relaxed journey
An infinite spectrum of colours in bloom.
Delicate, but so profound that you’re not sure what would ever seek to hurt them.
The ground is scattered in such fantastical beauty. You let it steal you from any thoughts you dared have before.
You fall into this world of natural colour, besotted by endlessness, shivering in the romance of its touch.
You’re not sure you’ll ever stop walking, nor remember what you left behind.
You look up and get so lost in the tallness of the trees that you forget you aren’t one… and make a wrong turn.
It’s getting a little cold now. You pull your jumper around you tighter and drag a hood, a beanie, a scarf to cover you.
What you’ve lost in direction and temperature, you seem to have made up for in the softness of the ground.
Have you seen this tree before? Was the sky always this murky?
Were you trying to get lost?
The ground thickens with leaves… but you think maybe you can spot the places where others have scraped their feet through.
This definitely looks like a path now. And… is that the sun? You pull yourself from the wetness, the lushness.
This is definitely the right way to something, but what exactly, you’re not quite sure.
It compels you indefinitely until…
Grandeur.
The warm and the cold married.
You breathe for the first time.
You lose your mind to the sound of nothing and distant birdsong.
From up here you can see so much.
You’re not lost now.
And maybe you never were.
Perhaps the wind and the stone wanted you to find this place.
But perhaps it was you instead.
This is what you needed.
Take your break.
Relax.
You made it.
Thanks for reading. Let me know how you feel about me posting a few more relaxing posts like this one (and tell me which photos are your favourite).
I’ve already got vague plans to do this again with different scenery, but I’d love to hear how I can improve on the storytelling here.
The enchanting trail through trees
Blooms to grandeur.
Love it, Daniel.
Beautiful photos. I'm right there.
